He might loan you his old tile saw etc if you want. I think there are some discount/overrun flooring places, like that one that advertises locally with the yellow background? Lumber Liquidators? Also I found cheap carpet at a place right by my old house and they may have cheap hardwoods/fakes as well. I think they are called Carpet Values and they're right by the Brookville ramp.
