Bailey-boo

November 9th, 2008

Aside from all the reasons why it is a colossally BAD idea for my brother and his family to get a puppy right now, she is one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a long time. Meet Bailey… she’s only 6 weeks old (which is 2 weeks too soon to be away from her mommy, but apparently I don’t know anything about puppies), and she’s super-cuddly and sweet. Except for the biting. And the mouthing. And the incredibly sharp puppy teeth. Otherwise, I think she’s a keeper.

P.S.: Let’s hope this puppy gets to stay even after she becomes an inconvenience. And that’s all I have to say about that.

I had to try hard not to go on a rant today with my extended family about how it pisses me off that people want dogs to suit some purpose in their own lives, from the way they look to the way they act, but don’t think they have to train them or they call them “bad” when they DO WHAT DOGS DO. They aren’t scheming against you when they eat your stuff, you just didn’t put your stuff away and didn’t teach them the behavior you wanted in the first place. ARGH
