Friday Foster - Arwen
It’s that time of the week again… time to highlight a Friday Foster rabbit. As I wrote last week, I am a fosterer for Indiana House Rabbit Society. Since we’re always looking for great homes for our adoptable rabbits, I’ve decided to use this space to highlight a different foster rabbit each week. You may see some of them more than once; some of our long-term foster rabbits spend years in foster care before finding their forever homes.
This week’s foster rabbit is Arwen. She and three other rabbits were being starved to death by their owners, living in a outdoor hutch in the miserable, winter weather in Louisville Union, Kentucky. A good Samaritan convinced their owners to relinquish them, and then arranged for the four to be taken into foster care.
Arwen is learning quickly that living indoors is nice. She was spayed a couple of weeks ago, and treated for a nasty case of ear mites, but now she has a clean bill of health and a new lease on life. If you’re interested in information about adopting Arwen, or any other Indiana HRS adoptables, please visit our website at www.indianahrs.org. You will also find information about upcoming events in the state.
Check back next week to meet some of my personal foster rabbits, Wendy & Waldo.

[...] another friend for her birthday. Tonight I have plans for highlights, then Petco to spend time with Arwen, and then home to do a mad, frantic house clean since I’m having company for the next week. [...]
